AI and Automation Policy
Online38Media may use artificial-intelligence and automation tools to assist parts of the editorial workflow, including topic organization, research assistance, drafting, language refinement, formatting and image ideation.
AI is not a source
AI-generated statements are not considered evidence. Facts that can materially affect an article should be checked against reliable primary or reputable secondary sources before publication.
Editorial responsibility
Automation is used to improve workflow, not to justify publishing large volumes of low-value pages. Articles should have a clear purpose for readers, accurate sourcing and meaningful added context.
Images and synthetic media
When AI-generated or materially altered imagery is used in a context where a reasonable reader could mistake it for documentary evidence, we aim to label it appropriately. We do not use fabricated images, quotes, documents or identities as if they were authentic evidence.
Corrections
Errors introduced through any tool, including AI, are handled under the same Corrections Policy as other editorial errors.
